Garlic Parmesan Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
We liked this well enough, but I thought there were way too many flavors going on. Garlic, mustard, parmesan, worchestershire and onion are all really powerful flavors. If I were to make it again, I would leave out the ground mustard and the onions. I think that would let the parmesan garlic flavor stand out a bit more.

Sarge's EZ Pulled Pork BBQ

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
Pork goes into crock-pot and comes out dinner. This one is a no-brainer...so delicious and easy. Toss in some BBQ sauce, put it on a bun with slaw and you've got dinner (and a few lunches). Great recipe.

Wake-Up Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
I made this tonight as written, except I only added 2 cups of cheese, and it was marvelous! I put half the cheese on top of the ham and hashbrowns, and the other half on the very top, on top of the eggs. We all loved it, thanks for an awesome recipe!

Spicy Apple Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
Will make this one again! (maybe for Thanksgiving dessert) I would prefer some more apple chunks in it, but that is just my preference. This cake is sweet and delicious.

Pumpkin Pancakes

Made the pancakes exactly per the recipe. DELICIOUS! Will be making this many more times. My husband liked it with white chocolate chips in the batter. Both were good... Will try the syrup next time! Thanks so much!

Cookie Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
Very easy and very good. I used chocolate for the coating since I didn't have candy coating. They still were good. I had to do a few batches of crushed cookies and cream cheese in the food processor bc mine is small, but it worked well enough. I used my small cookie scoop to make the balls and froze the trays for about an hour. They set up perfectly and were relatively easy to cover in chocolate, although I'll admit that is not my expertise. Thanks for the recipe.

Quick Eggplant Parmesan

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
i agree with "grammy" below completely. my first time making eggplant parmesan and it was so easy! it was delicious, too. my only problem was the breadcrumbs kind of fell off and consequently got charred despite my trying to scoop them out of the pan - that isn't a fault of the recipe as much as user error, haha. hummy totally loved it so its goes in the keeper box.

Slow Cooker Kielbasa and Beer

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
Wow......I had high hopes for this recipe but I couldn’t even eat it. I think the biggest thing is to not use kielbasa but a polish sausage. I was a little confused when other reviews said to brown the kielbasa. Any kielbasa i ever had has a real soft skin...not something easy to brown. My kielbasa was ready to liquefy after 4 hours of cook. I used Fat Tire beer which I like to drink....but I just couldn’t eat this. My husband said he will eat the leftovers but I think he said it to be polite. Do yourself a favor and skip this one....or have a pizza ready for back up.

Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
I followed advice of the other reviewers who thought it was dry, so I decreased the baking mix to 1 1/2 cups and 1 1/2 cups cheese!.. I served it with a mustard dipping sauce; without it was a little bland. I would definately add a little garlic salt next time!.. Pretty good though!

Tofu Sandwich Spread

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
Exceptional!! Very basic recipe yet the alterations can be endless. Ran out of curry powder(as suggested by one of the reviews), so added dill instead. Can't wait to try it with curry tho'. Also, used half of the mayo the recipe called for and replaced the other half with plain yogurt. I love tuna salad sandwiches but hate to have to wait so long between having them(due to amount of mercury in tuna), this will be a great replacement.

Buffalo Chicken Wings II

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2008
This recipe was a great start! I had never made buffalo wings, and my fiance RAVED and practically ate them all. I did make a few changes like others had suggested: -I mixed flour and bread crumbs -I tripled the amount of hot sauce, and added an extra 3/4 tablespoon or so (by eye). Next time I might add a bit of BW for stickiness and sweetness. -I cooked at 450 (20 mins each side) One suggestion - buy the wings cut up. Cutting them up was tough and took up a lot of time. That's my fault though. This is going in my box of printed recipes :)
