new year with another history making month in December, logging more than 124 million page views and 7.8 million unique visitors
(ComScore Media Metrix, January 2007). The flood of users represents a 21 percent increase in unique visitors and 30 percent
growth in page views over the same month in 2005 and pushed the site over the one billion mark in overall page views for the year.
Strong editorial features and seasonal collections such as a cookie countdown calendar, gingerbread house how-to guide and
appetizer suggestions helped drive traffic through the busy holiday month. The most popular recipe searches included all types of
holiday cookies, fudge, gingerbread houses, prime rib, appetizers and homemade candies—mirroring the trends of past years.
